We invite our members and their guests out to enjoy a delicious meal and to all spend time together! There will be an array of food items, and if you are interested, you may bring a dish to share with everyone as well! The sign-up sheet in the canteen sure looks delicious! As a reminder, the kitchen will be CLOSED. We also will have Happy Hour during Friendsgiving. Celebrate with us before the big day of THANKS!

This upcoming Thursday, November 16th, the Millersville Lions Club will be using our banquet hall for their “Stockings for Soldiers” event. From 6:30 pm-8:30 pm, you are invited to come out and help stuff stockings with essentials that will be delivered to soldiers. Any and everyone are welcomed! They will need help with the stuffing and they will also still be accepting donation drop offs as well! Please refer to their Facebook for a list of acceptable items. This is a wonderful way to begin the season of thanks and giving back! 

LOOKING AHEAD TO TURKEY WEEK, WE HAVE SOMETHING YOU JUST CAN’T BEAT! COME CELEBRATE WITH US THE NIGHT BEFORE, COME DRINK AND EAT AND MORE! 

We invite our VFW patrons, social members and their guests out to the canteen on Wednesday November 22nd from 4-9 pm for our FRIENDSGIVING! Come celebrate the holiday with us! We will be providing some of the holiday food but would love to extend the invite to all of you to bring a favorite dish to share amongst everyone! Sign-ups for what you plan to bring are in the canteen, so ask the bartender for the sheet! We will also have HAPPY HOUR from 6-9 pm. We look forward to hosting this event with all of you and can’t wait to see everyone! The kitchen will be CLOSED that evening. Bring your sweatpants and your appetite!

This upcoming Saturday November 11th is Veteran’s Day! Make sure you thank those men and women, both past and present, who have served our country! At the Post, we are doing a little something special for the Vets! On Saturday November 11th, Veterans are invited to come have a free dinner from 4-8 pm. The dinner will include a steak, baked potato, roll, salad and dessert. Veterans are allowed to bring a significant other, who may also purchase a steak dinner or order from our kitchen! We would like to thank Mike Kramer for his generous donation of the steaks and dessert for this event! We look forward to seeing the Vets this weekend and can’t wait to extend our gratitude to all of you!

LOOKING FOR A WAY TO HELP SOLDIERS DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON? WE HAVE A SOLUTION FOR YOU!

The Millersville Lions club is using our banquet facility on Thursday November 16th at 6:30 pm. They are holding a “stockings for soldiers” event and are looking for people to come out and help in any way! They are accepting donations of personal care items, food items, games, etc, which may be brought to the VFW that evening! They are inviting people out to actually help stuff the stockings as well! This is a great way to give back to those who have sacrificed so much for our country! Everyone deserves a special and happy holiday! TRICK OR TREAT, SMELL MY FEET. OUR TRUNK OR TREAT IS FINALLY THIS WEEK!!

Come one and all, creatures great and small! The Post is hosting its first ever TRUNK OR TREAT this THURSDAY OCTOBER 26th from 6-8 pm! We invite you and your family to come spend the evening with us! There will be SEVERAL decorated trunks for the kids to visit and collect candy/goodies at! We will have quite a few Police Department vehicles and Fire Department vehicles on site that the children can visit! We also have a few tow service vehicles as well as a hearse that will be partaking in the festivites! Climb aboard the spooky bus and see for yourself all of the Halloween madness inside (this will be appropriate for all ages)! Once you’re done with all of the trunks, please visit inside our banquet hall where we will be serving up some hot dogs, chips and refreshments! There will also be a few games inside, such as bowling, ring toss, big jenga and more! The kids can also stop by and get their faces painted as well (we will have 3 painters set up to keep lines moving)! We are so excited for this event and anticipate a great turn out! Come make it a dance party and do the monster mash! Break a leg…well not literally but smash those songs out of the park! We are excited to see what the night brings us!

WHO IS READY FOR OUR TRUNK OR TREAT? I KNOW WE ARE! THE DATE IS CREEPING UP, IT’S SO CLOSE THAT IT’S SCARY!

Come one, come all! AND COME GET SOME CANDY! We are SO EXCITED for our TRUNK OR TREAT on Thursday October 26th from 6-8 pm! This is going to be A GHOULISH GREAT TIME and fun for the entire family! There will be decorated trunks in our parking lot for the kids to visit and get candy! We also will have several police department, fire department and towing service vehicles on site for the kids to enjoy as well (yes, they will have candy too!). There will be a hearse on site too, which will make a great addition! Don’t forget to board the spooky bus and enjoy the Halloween decorations as you walk through! Once you are done outside, make your way inside our banquet hall to enjoy some games, food, refreshments and face painting! We are really looking forward to seeing everyone dressed up and out there enjoying themselves. Thank you so much to all of those who have donated candy thus far. We are still accepting candy donations; we want to ensure we have PLENTY for all of the kids! Doors will open at 7:30 pm and the ball is from 8 pm to midnight! Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door! Your ticket includes food, beer, soda and door prizes. Costumes are not required, but there will be costume prizes! Raffles and 50/50 will be available as well. You must be 21 or older to attend!
