Open Again!

We’re back! We re-open tomorrow (Tues) Jan 5th, from 2pm to 8pm. The pre-shutdown rules are still in place: You must wear a mask when not in your seat, drinks are only to be served while dining (if you’ve finished all your food, you can’t keep drinking – soooo…eat slow?), and we are still working on a limited menu.

UPDATE: Although Social Membership has been extended through January 31st, our front door did not get the memo! We haven’t gotten through updating everyone’s key card records, so if you are unable to enter, please use the buzzer and the servers will let you in. We’re working on updating the records, our apologies! But please make sure you renew by JANUARY 31st!!! After that date your card will be deactivated for REAL and you’ll have to go through the whole application process all over!!!

The Post Will be Shutting Down Through Jan. 4th

As you have no doubt heard, the Governor has instituted another shutdown, and we will be closing our doors tonight (Friday, Dec 11th) through January 4th. We will re-open January 5th (pending any further complications!).

Soup (and Fruit Basket) Sale This Sunday!
Drive through Soup sale is Sunday starting at 10 am. Since Meat Tray Bingo is cancelled we will be holding a drive through soup sale starting at 10am. You can drive up and get soup by the quart. Options are: Chili, Beef Vegetable, Chicken Corn, Tomato Bisque, and Broccoli & Cheese. Cost for this delicious soup is only $8 a quart. Come out and support your local VFW! This is our last chance to raise funds until the new year; please support your Post. In addition to the soup and fruit baskets for sale, we still have tickets for our Freezer/Meat raffle and for the Kate Spade Purse/Michael Kors wallet – both raffles will have tickets available at the soup sale.

Meeting Next Weds
We are still having our monthly meeting for Regular members next Weds, the 16th at 6:30pm. As we struggle to survive, our meetings are more important than ever: we will have elections for Sr./Jr. Vice Commander positions, we will be discussing our plans for surviving this latest closure, and we will be making new plans for our 75th anniversary next year. It is important to get involved! After the Regular meeting, there will also be a brief Corporate meeting open to all members, starting around 7:30pm.

There is more for you!
Come January we will be making changes for the future that will make our Post better than ever. We are looking forward to a much better future for all. We are looking forward to everyone coming back and supporting their Post!
Until next year: have a wonderful holiday and spectacular (and safe!) New Years!
