APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS…AND A FIESTA!

LET’S CELEBRATE CINCO DE MAYO TOGETHER! Join us in the canteen THIS FRIDAY May 5th to party Cinco De Mayo style! The canteen will be decked out in fiesta decor, and we encourage you to wear a sombrero or something fun and festive! There will be a TACO BAR beginning at 5 pm. $5 for all you can eat tacos, both hard and soft, equipped with all of the favorite fixings! TACO BOUT A PARTY!! The kitchen will also be opened on Friday for its regular hours for those who don’t want to indulge in the taco festivities. After you fill up, make sure you save some room so you can still get up and dance, because DJ Scotty Sharpe will be turning down the house from 8-11 pm! There’s no time for a siesta, we need to fiesta! We are excited to celebrate with you all! Remind yourself with the Facebook event because you don’t want to be sitting at home for this event!

Come one, come all! Come play TRIVIA in the canteen on Wednesday May 10th from 6:30-8:30 pm. DJ Bill Wright serves up 4 rounds of trivia with 10 questions each, with music in between for your listening ears. Come beat the other teams and claim your prize! Let’s go!

Come on out to the Post on Friday May 26th to hear Moonshine Spike Band perform in the canteen from 7-10 pm. Come grab a bite to eat and listen to some great live music! The group is blues influenced with a bit of classic country and rock! They sound like they offer a little something for everyone to enjoy! Check them out ahead of time here so you can groove along to the music! Come support the club and get ready for a great show!

ON SUNDAY MAY 28TH, THE POST WILL HOST ITS MEMORIAL SERVICE TO HONOR ALL OF THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY, BOTH PAST AND PRESENT. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO JOIN US FOR THIS CEREMONY. MORE DETAILS WILL BE PROVIDED IN THE FOLLOWING WEEKS.

WE ARE STILL COLLECTING MILITARY PATCHES FOR A SPECIAL PROJECT THAT ONE OF OUR OFFICERS IS DOING. THE BIN IS DEFINITELY FILLING UP AND WE THANK THOSE WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED!

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SIMPLE YET WORTHY GESTURE TO SAY THANK YOU TO OUR VETS, WE HAVE JUST THE THING FOR YOU! IN THE CANTEEN, YOU ARE ABLE TO PURCHASE A MEAL FOR A VET. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS LET THE BARTENDER KNOW YOU WISH TO BUY ONE, AND THEY WILL PROVIDE THE COUPON THAT LETS THE VET KNOW ABOUT YOUR KIND GESTURE!

THE MILLERSVILLE VFW WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE MILLERSVILLE COMMUNITY YARD SALE ON SATURDAY JUNE 10TH BEGINNING AT 7 AM! IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SECURING A SPOT SO THAT YOU MAY SELL YOUR ITEMS, PLEASE REACH OUT TO BANQUET MANAGER MCKAYLA HERMAN AT 717-392-9670. THERE WILL BE A $10 SET UP FEE. WE WILL ALSO HAVE SMASH & TOASTED FOOD TRUCK ON SITE THAT WILL BE SELLING BREAKFAST SANDWICHES AND COFFEE! THERE WILL BE FLYERS HANGING UP AROUND TOWN AND HELP US SPREAD THE WORD BY LETTING ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS KNOW!
